Unearthed Update: Paperwork Is My Enemy

Not a huge amount to report in Unearthed progress this week. I spent most of the week putting together a rather elaborate spreadsheet that documents EarthBound enemy stats, names, and suggested party levels to encounter them. I wanted to make it easierto decide what sort of stat spreads I should use for enemies in Unearthed. For the most part, I’ll be using EarthBound foes as a rough outline; tweaking stats and changing abilities as needed. You can actually see the spreadsheet I’ve been working on via the link below:

I’ve mentioned this before, but game design involves a heckuva lot of paperwork. I’ll be plotting out a lot of mundane statistics and whatnot over the next couple of weeks, before I’m ready to start implementing enemies. I probably won’t have any cool screenshots or animated gifs for you over this period of time, but I’ll trying to post something interesting for the Monday blog.
