So, last week I ran into an issue with one of the maps for Unearthed. Well, actually TWO of the maps, but who’s keeping track? It turns out that one of the tile-sets that I intended to use for a large dungeon area (the Boding Sea Spires) simply will not do the things I want it to.
Therefore, I am going to spend the next week or so attempting to tweak another tile-set to fit the purpose. As of right now it looks like a palette swap of Dalaam might work, with some minor tile changes to make it look more like an indoor area.
This is going to delay the next update a bit since I have to edit a palette and tile-set on top of the normal map editing that goes into creating a zone. On the upside, this means that the number of new/heavily edited tile-sets in Unearthed is getting close to the double digits. I’ll keep you all updated as things move along.
Goodluck man. 🙂
I hope issues like this don’t discourage you too much. This looks like the absolute best earthbound hack ever, and I know once you complete it that it will be legendary. I’ve been waiting for a professional EB hack for a long time, so please don’t give up! Good luck! Looks awesome.
