I’ve been mostly tinkering around with doors and area connections lately, so here are a few transitions areas in Unearthed. They are not the most exciting bits of scenery, but are essential to connect the larger areas of the game First up, an abandoned old farmhouse which plays a role early on in the game:
Next, a small cave with two holes on opposite ends. Perhaps a fork in the road for Mitchell?
Nothing fancy here, just a functional tunnel leading from left to right. This cave connects the Rocky Slalom to the next area.
I will be working on a couple interesting areas soon (Scrapyard, Santuary, Boding Sea), so be sure to check back over the next couple weeks for those updates. I’ll try to make another map build video as well, as I got a lot of positive feedback from the last one.
Looking forward to Unearthed! I just finished Hyperbound and I'm impressed by the story structure. It certainly is an original story despite the familiar locale. The graphical errors and gibberish dialogue threw me for a loop at first. Much impressed.
