Labyrinth Complete!

The map design for the Labyrinth area of Unearthed is now complete. The Labyrinth is another bonus area of Unearthed that is completely optional to explore, but full of challenging enemies and valuable prizes for particularly ambitious players.

Located deep below the city of Sporegan, the Labyrinth was accidentally discovered by the Mycori during an ancient exploration mission. Although the Mycori were initially intrigued by the maze’s twisting tunnels and mysteriously luminescent walls, they soon found that many dangers lurked below. Swarms of dangerous creatures attacked the Mycori ruthlessly and eventually forced them to retreat back to the safety of Sporegan, sealing the passage behind them.

The Mycori now treat the Labyrinth with much respect and reverence. They only open the sealed entrance on the rare occasion a warrior has proven himself worthy to test himself in the maze’s halls. Successfully navigating the Labyrinth is considered the most difficult trial a Mycori warrior can overcome, and those who do so succesfully are held in very high regard in Sporegan.

As a sidenote: sorry for the lull in the updates lately. I’ve been astoundingly busy the last couple weeks, and ran into a few technical problems with this last map. I should be hitting a better paces from here on out!
